Summer Mocktails

I’ve really been trying to up my health game this summer and with that comes less alcohol. Now, I know that is probably the most boring and lame statement for some, but not drinking can actually be really sexy. For one, nothing is more attractive than being completely present in the moment and remembering every conversation after a night out with friends. There’s nothing better than waking up on a Saturday or Sunday feeling refreshed and ready to take on the day with no hangover and a restful nights sleep. For me, choosing not to drink alcohol is easier when you honor the ritual of it. What I mean by that is when you would normally reach for that 5 o’clock glass; still do that. Instead of pouring wine though, pour some ice tea and sparkling water into a wine glass. Add a lemon wedge and sprig of mint. Voila! I promise you will still feel like you’re getting a little reward for completing another day. Here are a few mocktail recipes that I like to make in the evenings, at the pool, or for a movie night at home to feel like I’m indulging without all the negative side effects of alcohol.
