I’ve always been a big reader but ever since I got my Kindle for Christmas, I’ve really kicked it up a notch. My goal this year is to read 30 books and I’m currently on book #16 Here are the 5 most recent books I’ve read and loved!
Flo Living by Alisa Vitti - AKA - The BIBLE. This book was incredibly eye opening for me. The biggest takeaway for me was how little I knew about how my body works. Women spend most of their lives “just dealing” with our monthly cycles and managing symptoms. This book taught me how to tune in and truly understand the rhythm of my body. After reading this book, I feel so empowered and in charge of my health.
Pillow Talk: What’s Wrong with My Sewing? by Craig Conover - Ok, before you make fun of me for reading a Bravolebrities memoir, this book, like the author, is much more than meets the eye. I’ve always been a fan of Craig on Southern Charm. This book had a lot of fun and interesting details behind the scenes of Southern Charm but I found the story of starting his pillow business really inspiring. It was the perfect blend of fluffy entertainment and entrepreneurship.
The Lifeguards by Amanda Eyre Ward - I read Amanda Eyre Ward’s book the Jettersetters over Christmas break and really enjoyed it. After researching her more, I learned that she was a fellow Austinite! Her most recent book the Lifeguards takes place in Austin. I loved reading about familiar places and it had a real twist at the end!
Regretting You by Colleen Hoover - My Collen Hoover addiction started with It Ends With Us and has only grown stronger. I love how quick her reads are which make them perfect for travel. Not so deep that you lose interest but just compelling enough to keep you engaged for an entire flight. Verity is next on my list!
The Paris Apartment by Lucy Foley - If you love a thriller, you’ll love Lucy Foley books. The Paris Apartment was the perfect blend of mystery, glamor and thrill. I’m always completely transported in her books and this one made me want to book a trip to Paris!
